Eureka!

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Eureka returns in mid summer with an additional ten episodes.  The summer season starts off where the mid-season cliffhanger left us hanging, Carter jobless and Allison pregnant.

Eureka averaged 3 million viewers each week in the first half of it’s 3rd season.  Summertime fun won’t keep us away from this summertime marvel!

Taking Off to See THE Movie of the Year?

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

I wonder how many die-hard trekkers are planning on taking the afternoon off on premiere day, May 8th?

Any Trek-bosses planning on closing their offices and hauling the whole gang to the film?

Wonder how many trekkies will call in sick that day or have already scheduled vacation?

How are you planning on seeing the film as soon as possible?

SciFi = SyFy NO WAY

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

I’m sure all you science fiction fans have noticed. There isn’t as much sci-fi on TV as there used to be.  Friday nights used to be GREAT nights for grabbing a pizza and parking yourself in front of the big screen TV.

Not only has the Sci-Fi channel started bringing in EEE-GADS wrestling, they’re also changing their name.  They’ll soon be known as the SyFy channel. Their new slogan “Imagine Greater” is supposed to allow them to broaden their offerings beyond the traditional sci-fi genre.

Change is not always better.

I wish them luck. Well actually I wish us all luck.  We want traditional sci-fi, we want sci-fi all the time.

Shatner Writes

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

Shatner writes.   Now I think we’ve all read some of Shatner’s sci fi. But, have you read “Captain Kirk’s Guide to Women; How to Romance Any Woman in the Galaxy”?

LOL

It’s worth a read, for the sheer entertainment value.

It was on sale this week at DeepDiscount for five bucks with free shipping.  Don’t know if it still is or not, but it would sure make a cute FUN gift for any trekkie on your gift list.    Well, any male trekkie!  LOL

This year marks their 35th anniversary and they’re partying in style! Their annual International conference is this August in Greensboro NC where Apollo 13 astronaut Fred Haise will appear!

Cruise on over to sfi.org and join the ranks of the biggest ST club around!

Streamy Shatner

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

I’m not into reality shows, I’d rather watch sci-fi anytime, but, I heard that The Shatner Project won the Streamy Award for the Best Reality show on the web.

Shatner himself didn’t accept the award but he sent the Mrs and his daughter, Lisabeth.

You can ‘stream’ some of the award winning videos at myspacetv.com/williamshatner
