Labor Day in Atlanta

Dragoncon is a huge sci-fi gaming convention held this year on Sept 4-7 in Atlanta.

Tech Museum Features Star Trek Exhibit
Thursday, August 27th, 2009This fall, patrons of the Tech Museum in San Jose will get to view Star Trek: The Exhibition
The display will cover more than 15,000 square feet and will show memorabilia and set recreations including the bridge of the Enterprise. Lucky attendees will also have the opportunity to try the warp simulator.
Tickets are $25 for adults. Show opens October 23.

Vulcans Viewed Star Trek
Friday, August 14th, 2009Residents of a small Canadian town of about 2000 people, aptly named Vulcan, got to view a special screening of the Star Trek movie courtesy of Paramount Pictures.
The small town lies outside Calgary and it’s residents had been clamoring for a special viewing because after all, they are Vulcans.
Paramount conducted a lottery of the residents, and the lucky winners got a bus ride to Calgary for their special showing.

Brad and Kate met, where else but a Star Trek convention so getting married on the replica bridge of the Enterprise seems spot on.
