Sneak Peek

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

You can catch a peek of the new Twitter device put out by Peek on Amazon. The device, named TwitterPeek will mobilize Twitter for non Iphone users.

It’s a stand alone system with dedicated email and texting. It will provide an easy way to send updates and tweets without shelling out the big bucks that some smartphones cost. The TwitterPeek will run for $99 and includes unlimited nationwide service for six months. After that the service plan will be just $7.95 a month, much like Prodigy in it’s early days. Another option is to buy unlimited Twitter service for the lifetime of the device for a mere $199. No contracts!

TwitterPeek is always on ‘instant’ tweet delivery, direct messaging, view links as plain text of Twitpic, features a full QWERTY keyboard, color screen and a click and scroll wheel.

This sounds like a great gift for the Twitterless, and an even greater gift for the Twitterfan without a smart phone!

Hey that sounds like me! I ‘want’ one!

Big Bang Theory

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

I’m a fan of the Big Bang Theory. I love all the subtle jokes relating to sci-fi.

Problem?

Well, it seems that there are ‘other’ shows that come on at the same time that we generally watch or record. We don’t live where we can get the ‘record four shows at once’ recorder, so we have to settle for two shows at once. For some reason, ‘my’ Big Bang Theory gets recorded and I ‘get’ to watch it later.

Not an issue, right?

Well, it is.

It seems that every single solitary time that Big Bang is recorded it records it choppy. Almost like there was a thunderstorm going on at the same time. No storms. All my other recordings of every other show we record come through fine, it’s just this one. Conspiracy theory?

I don’t know. I just know that I have to watch it pixelate and skip words and phrases. It’s aggravating and I’m sure I’m missing much of it….

Why why why? I want my Big Bang Theory in it’s entirety.

HINT: IF YOU’RE READING THIS A GOOD GIFT IDEA FOR ME WOULD BE THE BIG BANG THEORY ON DVD!!!
