Preorder Avatar
Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010I recently received an email from Amazon telling me that Avatar was now ready for pre-order with an expected distribution date of April 22.
Sounds good?
Last time I pre-ordered a movie, it was Star Trek, and while the movie was ‘distributed’ on a certain day – that wasn’t the day it arrived. That’s the day it shipped.
So, in a house full of trekkies there was no waiting period. My spouse ran right down to the store and bought a copy, hot off the truck, DAYS before the pre-order arrived.
So, while I’m tempted to pre-order Avatar, I’m afraid that the same thing will happen again, and we’ll end up with TWO copies…
Hmmm, that might not be a bad thing…
